Read + Review — Forest of Ruin by Kelley Armstrong

forest_ruinForest of Ruin is the third book in the trilogy that begins with Sea of Shadows. Moria and Ashlyn, rare twin sisters, are chosen at birth to be the Keeper and Seeker of Edgewood. Now, after long, perilous journeys, the sisters finally face the evil Alvar Kitsune in the eye. The war against him is growing to a climax, and it is more critical than ever for Moria and Ashlyn make the right decisions to tip the scales in their favor and save the empire.

Forest of Ruin is very well-written and kept me hooked throughout the whole book. I love the way that Kelley Armstrong writes, she made scenes in this book (and the others in the trilogy) seem so lifelike. It was like I was there in the action. With its perfect blend of drama, romance, deception, and its twisting plot line, Forest of Ruin was a lot of fun to read.

Something from this novel that I really enjoyed was the fact that not all of the characters are human. Even though Daigo and Tova, Moria and Ashlyn’s pets, aren’t people, they seem so lifelike and personified.
