Read + Review — I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai

i am malala

The book was about a teenage girl named Malala who refused to be told what to do and what they cannot do. Since she refused to follow the rules of the Talibans, she was shot in the head when she took the bus home from school. She survived and she fought for her countries’ rights. Through a hard fought journey, she achieved her dream.

I liked the book because it was about a girl who fought for her rights and her country’s rights. At first her country was being ruled by the Taliban and she was shot because she wasn’t following their rules. She was courageous and very patriotic and can relate to anyone in the US. This book would probably be on my bookshelf because the book was inspiring to me.

The most memorable part of the book would be when Malala got shot in the head. Although it wasn’t a happy occasion, it sparked a girl’s dream to achieve freedom.
