Read + Review — Black Ice, by Becca Fitzpatrick

blackice

Black Ice is about a girl named Britt going to the mountains of Idlewilde for spring break. Britt and her best friend Korbie are driving up the mountains and they get caught in a horrible blizzard. Their jeep runs out of gas, and they have to look for a place they can take shelter in. Finding a small cabin, the two men inside let them in and appear very friendly. However, Britt soon finds herself in a hostage situation, and she must guide the convicts off of the mountain.

I thought it was a very good book. The whole story was very vividly described, such as how the author describes the scenery of Idlewilde. There were also some very interesting twists and turns to the book. It kept me guessing, and that’s what I liked about it.

One memorable thing is the way the author describes the harsh, freezing winter on the mountain.
