Read + Review: The Blood of Olympus, by Rick Riordan

This book is about the continued quest of returning the Athena Parthenos to the Greeks in order to keep peace between the two camps. Tensions are running higher than ever between the two camps and our beloved demigods have split up. Can Nico and Reyna bring the statue of Athena to Camp Half Blood in time? Will the others finish the tasks set forth and make it to the looming battle in time? Read the book to find out!

I loved the book. It was well worth the one year wait (although I wish it would have come out sooner)! I thought that Rick Riordan’s writing style and technique was phenomenal as ever. The only thing I disliked was the fact that it was not written in Percy and Annabeth’s point of view. They were the main characters in the previous and were treated as minor characters in this one.

One memorable thing in this book was the added importance of Leo and Nico in this book. They played a much bigger part in this novel and I was very happy about that.
