Short, Short Story Contest starts today!!!!

Tell us a story typewriterWe love short stories! They are tasty, little morsels of fiction that can contain whole worlds. We would love to see what you can create in 50 words or less! This is very short fiction, also known as “flash fiction.”

2014 Short, Short Story Contest

Henrico County Public Library is having a Short, Short Story contest for students in grades 6-12 in honor of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The winning story and the 2nd and 3rd place stories will be posted on HCPL’s Teen Scene. The winner will receive a $25 gift card from Target and tons of bragging rights! Your original story must be 50 words or less, so do a word count before you enter it. We are not counting your title as part of your 50-word story. The contest will run from November 1st to November 30th, 2014. The winner will be announced in mid-December.Enter your story here.
