POW! Poem on Wednesday

My Name is Me, by Cynthia Rivera (age 16)

My name is strength

the strength in my legs I  use to run up a hill

My name is wisdom

the wisdom I receive in the choices I make every day

My name is love

the love I feel when he looks at me

My name is pain

the pain that ran through my veins when my grandpa died

My name is independent

the independent person I became when my parents were sick

My name is power

the power that’s in me to be who I am

My name is Me.
