Teen Review– I Even Funnier by James Patterson

This great sequel to I Funny is about a boy- stand up comic who wants to win the Planet’s Funniest Kid Comic Award. He is in the regional competition where if he advances, he moves on to the semifinals in Las Vegas. Along the way, Jamie Grimm faces many difficult challenges, but they do not stop him. Using real world jokes from his life, will the handicapped Jamie accomplish his dream?

I liked the great humor of this story. The jokes were incredible, from the super funny ones to the I-forgot-to-laugh ones. Although there were lots of challenges, I enjoyed watching Jamie fight his way through them. The characters brought a lot of fun to this story and the writing style was excellent, with a lot of “informational” pictures. Overall, this book was excellent.

One memorable thing was the amazing jokes that were incorporated in this story.
