Teen Review — Miss Fortune Cookie

miss fortune cookieMiss Fortune Cookie by Lauren Bjorkman    In China Town not being Chinese can make it quite hard growing up.  For senior in high school Erin, with a single mom, all she wanted to was be accepted.  She even made a fake online identity as Miss Fortune Cookie.  Through the story her two best friends get her through everything.

I thought that the beginning of the book was not as strong as the ending. On the other hand, I did enjoy the story line and thought it was a fun read.  The author really does make the situations easy to relate too.  From choosing friends over relationships or even over family.

Something memorable for me is that no matter what happened the three best friends always came back to each other and forgave one another.  In high school that can be a hard thing to do, but through the book it shows with following your heart anything is possible.
