This book was about a girl, Maddie, living in a world where everything is done on the computer. After meeting a Justin, she realizes that computers are not the whole point of the world. Maddie starts to get out more, defying her parents.

I think this book was great, a sci-fi book mixed in with romance. It’s sad that Justin and Maddie did not stay together in the end, but it’s great how the author still made a perfect ending. Some parts of this book made me laugh, and others made me feel really sad. Katie Kacvinsky really knew how to make the reader’s enjoy her writing.

I loved the thought that a person could do everything on a computer, every daily function of life. After reading this book, I realized that it wouldn’t be perfect to live a life on the Internet. Awaken made me rethink my opinion about online life.
